June has arrived and summer energy is spreading across the entire region — from Twin Falls to Burley, Rupert, Buhl, Jerome, Kimberly, Oakley, Declo, and beyond. This weekend kicks off with the 16th Annual Art & Soul of the Magic Valley (voting and exhibits at 60+ venues valley-wide), the scenic Spirit of Magic Valley Half Marathon, 10K, 5K & Kids Run along the Snake River Canyon Rim Trail, Magic Valley’s Largest Yard Sale at CSI, and the fun Yaktown Rodeo in Buhl.

Whether you’re into art, running, bargain hunting, or rodeo action, there’s something great happening no matter where you live in the Magic Valley. Let’s dive in!

🖼️ 16th Annual Art & Soul of the Magic Valley (ongoing June 5–27)
Voting opens Friday! 60+ venues across the Valley feature local artists.

Kick-off & voting at Magic Valley Arts Council (195 River Vista Place, Twin Falls) Friday 10am–6pm. Multiple “Soul Searching” events Saturday (e.g., Crystals EnLight 10am–4pm, Magic Valley Mall youth reception 11am–1pm, Koto Brewing 1–3pm). Great for families and art lovers.

⚜️Revel at the River - A weekend of history, community, and outdoor fun at Niagara Springs State Park in Wendell. Hosted by the Society for Creative Anachronism—a group that brings medieval arts, sword combat, and culture to life—this family‑friendly gathering welcomes newcomers to explore demonstrations, meet creative people, and enjoy one of Idaho’s most beautiful canyon settings.

🚗 Classics On The Grass 40th Anniversary Car Show June 6th & 7th at Cassia County Fairgrounds in Burley. New kids division this year. Hosted by the Mini-Cassia Auto Collectors.

🐴 Idaho Cup Horse Show June 6th & 7th at Twin Falls County Fairgrounds. Show Horse competition featuring competitions in Halter, Showmanship, English Riding, Western Riding, Speed events etc.

Friday

🏍️ Bike Night Young Powersports first Friday of every month 5pm - 7pm, from spring through summer (weather permitting). An evening of awesome motorcycles, food, music, and prizes. At Young Powersports 333 Overland Ave, Burley.

💸 Magic Valley’s Largest Yard Sale Hundreds of item and food vendors at College of Southern Idaho (315 Falls Ave West, Twin Falls – Fine Arts Building Parking Lot). 10:00 AM–4:00 PM. Free admission.

👟 Spirit of Magic Valley Half Marathon, 10K, 5K & Kids 1 Mile, Scenic runs/walks starting ~8:00 AM at Shoshone Falls Park (Snake River Canyon Rim Trail). Packet pickup Friday 5–7 PM at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Register here: runsignup.com.

🫏 Yaktown Rodeo. Hosted by Coopers Yaktown. Located at 1378 E 4150 N Buhl, ID. $5 admission, 12 and under free. Gates open 4pm, Rodeo starts at 5pm. Bull riding, Yak riding, Karaoke/Dancing, Food, Raffles. Bring a lawn chair.

🏹🐟 2026 Carp Classic compete in a carp bowfishing tournament scored by total fish count, where the team with the most fish takes the win. Cash Prizes. Check in starting at 7am at Advantage Archery parking lot 251 Main Ave E, Twin Falls.

Creative Cravings (Food Truck) is in Jerome this weekend – Creative burgers, sandwiches, loaded fries, and specials.

Saturday vendor stands and pop-ups expected at the Yard Sale.

Twin Falls woman celebrates 100th birthday Alta Showalter turned 100 on Monday and celebrated with friends, cake, and decorations at Avista Senior Living in Twin Falls. A wonderful milestone for a longtime Magic Valley resident!

Hansen Community Library celebrates 40 years The Hansen Community Library marked its 40th anniversary with a special open house on Monday evening, complete with cake, cookies, book bingo, and community gatherings. A big thank you to all the librarians and volunteers who have served the area for four decades!

Jerome County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Kanzu retires After eight years of dedicated service in narcotics detection, criminal apprehension, and community outreach, K-9 Kanzu officially retired with a farewell party on June 1. Congratulations on a job well done, Kanzu!
