💘 Romeo & Juliet Closing Weekend Live performance of this iconic story from William Shakespeare takes a revolutionary turn. In this production, the Montagues are aligned with the Colonial/Patriot cause, while the Capulets are Loyalists to the British Crown. The war may be over, but its violence, trauma, and ideological divisions remain while love proves no safer than the battlefield. At the Orpheum Theater at 146 Main Ave N, Twin Falls, ID. 🎭 Finding Nemo Jr. Opening Weekend an all-youth community theater double-cast production of the popular play. Opening this weekend at Burley Jr. High School. June 10th -13th & 15th -19th at 7pm, and June 20th at 2pm. Tickets $10-$12. Produced by Southern Idaho Youth Theatrics, a fantastic nonprofit helping kids in our area grow thru theater. 🐉 Magic & Mayhem Fantasy Faire. June 12th and 13th at Twin Falls County Fairgrounds at 215 Fair Ave, Filer, ID. $10 admission for ages 8 and up, with the fair open each day from 10am to 9pm. This is the first year for this fair and hopefully it will be annual! Sword Fighting, Food, Arts and Trinket Vendors, and all family friendly.

🐡 Pokémon Day Celebration at Treasure Claw. A big family-friendly 2-day event! Themed arcade games, live shows, tournaments, card trading, face painting, balloon art, popcorn, prizes, photo ops, and more. Free admission. Sat June 13: 10am–10pm | Sun June 14: 10am–8pm. 🏃‍♀️‍➡️ Mini-Cassia Rescue Run 5K starting at Wright Physical Therapy’s office in Burley. Event is to raise awareness and funds for C.A.S.E (Citizens Against Sexual Exploitation). Race starts at 9am Sat June 13th. $40 sign-up fee. Registration ends Friday, June 12th at midnight, so sign up quick here: Link

🦋 14th Annual Live Butterfly Release Memorial Event. Community memorial at Orton Botanical Garden hosted by Hospice Visions. Butterflies released in memory of loved ones. Open to all. Sat June 13th: 10am–1pm (doors 9am). Orton Botanical Garden, 867 Filer Ave W, Twin Falls.

🏪 Magic Valley Kid Market. A vendor market run completely by children! Kids get to create a business idea, set up a booth, and sell their products/ideas directly to the public. June 13th at The Shanty Bell in Burley, ID. Then next month it will happen again in Twin Falls.

🦋 Heyburn Arboretum Butterfly Release. The senior project of a local high schooler, Shelby Story, its intent is to better help our farming community via pollination. She will release pink lady butterflies that she has raised herself. Games and Food and drink available, free to the public. Heyburn Arboretum at 1177 7th St, Heyburn, ID. June 13th from 11:30am to 2:45pm.

💐Ikebana Flower Arranging Class try your hand at ikebana. Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement - guided by principles of minimalism, asymmetry, and harmony with nature. 🔫 Tobi Smith, 32, received a unified 20-year sentence (8 years fixed) for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The incident occurred on June 24, 2025, at the Dunes Motel in Twin Falls, where she shot her ex-boyfriend in the leg. She pleaded guilty last fall; other charges were dropped. She must also pay restitution and fees. link

🏊‍♀️ Rupert held a ribbon cutting this past Monday for its new $3+ million swimming pool with a retractable dome — after 15+ years of planning. The facility now offers year-round swimming for the first time, with seating for over 900 spectators (bleachers coming soon). It was largely funded by private donations, including $1M from Stan and Denise Buckley. Great community win for Mini-Cassia! link

🚽 Burley leaders are advancing a major upgrade to the city's aging ~50-year-old industrial wastewater treatment plant. Congressman Mike Simpson announced $20 million in federal funding, plus Army Corps of Engineers support. The full project could cost over $130 million; design is underway, with construction potentially starting next summer. link
